International Surface Technology Fair
A review of the previous year
The last edition of the International Engineering Fair presented 1592 exhibiting companies from 23 countries, where the share of foreign participants has increased to 44.7%. Exhibitors stands were viewed by 79 296 visitors from 65 countries and 6601 registered visitors arrived from abroad, i.e. 8.4% of the total. 423 journalists were accredited at the fair, including 68 foreign ones from six countries.
Research showed that 72.6% of visitors of last year’s fair decided about investment and purchases of their companies. Three-quarters of them were professionals working in the field of engineering, other visitors were active primarily in the fields of automotive, electronics, plastics industry and transport.
MSV 2011 was also extraordinary due to participation of numerous political leaders and other VIP guests from home and abroad, who appreciated the important role in the development of the fair in international trade. “Engineering and industry are really what pulls our economy, and because we are a small and open, export-oriented economy, the dimensions of international cooperation and international trade are extremely important. Therefore, holding similar events such as the traditional Brno International Engineering Fair, has great significance. It is a place where Czech and foreign companies can come into contact with each other. It is also a place where Czech companies can show their innovative products, where they can demonstrate their development and their work. MSV is significant not only in the Czech, but also in the Central and European context, and it is definitely a positive place for the entire Czech economy." said the Czech Prime Minister Petr Nečas during his visit.
Applications by the end of March

Exhibitors may apply for participation by 31 March 2012, which guarantees them a discount and also a choice of exhibition space, where increased interest can be expected due to extended portfolio of presented fields this year.
Same as last year, exhibitors have the opportunity to use the electronic application form, which is available at www.bvv.cz / e-prihlaska.msv.
