International Engineering Fair
MSV 2015 enjoys great interest of exhibitors
The 57th International Engineering Fair in Brno will be held from 14 to 18 September 2015 and it is already clear that it will build on its previous successful years. The Czech economy thrives, industrial production accelerates its growth rate and a presentation at the largest industrial trade fair in Central Europe is of great interest.
Export remains the engine driving that drives the growth of the Czech economy and particularly in industry which in, which grew by as much as 4.5 percent in February. Optimism prevails among industrial companies, which is also reflected by their increased effort to exhibit, showcase their new products to business partners and reach new customers. Just two months before MSV, the largest pavilions of the Brno trade fair grounds are filled with exhibitions of both traditional exhibitors and newcomers. The Special Focus Country of MSV 2015 is the Republic of Korea, and a Japanese Reverse Exhibition is being prepared in Brno for the first time - an exhibition of products for which the Japanese producers are looking for suppliers. A one-day event is organized by the Japanese government agency for trade and investment promotion, JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization). The main topic of this year is Industry 4.0 - integrated and automated industry, which is a new and upcoming fourth phase of the industrial revolution. Special guest of the event will be China's Hebei province.
Machine tools remain a key branch of the year and the largest surface areas have already been leased in advance by traditional exhibitors. Machine tools will be presented by companies like KOVOSVIT MAS, TAJMAC-PS, DMG MORI SEIKI, YAMAZAKI MAZAK, tool manufacturers include GÜHRING, Hoffmann Qualitätswerkzeuge and others. A significant domestic producer of machining tools PRAMET TOOLS and also MCN CZ return to the fair after some time. A number of newcomers from home and abroad also appeared among the registered companies. From Germany there are TRAMEC, Handtmann A-Punkt Automation and Haas Schleifmaschinen who come to exhibit for the first time; AMF Andreas Maier from Austria or the Machine Group and Mayfran CZ from the Czech Republic. Organizers registered an annual increase of area coverage in the field of moulding; companies from Germany and Poland also appeared among the main leaders and new arrivals. It is also gratifying to see the return of major companies who have not been exhibiting in recent years, or only appeared within the framework of official participations, such as Bystronic.
The main theme of MSV 2015 will again focus on the cross-cutting Automation project – a presentation of measuring, control, automation and control technology across all disciplines. The actual electronics, automation and measuring technology field remains one of the strongest occupied sectors and visitors can once again look forward to many interesting innovations, among others from the area of robotics. Traditional exhibitors include companies like ABB, Olympus, KUKA, Mitutoyo or Hexagon Metrology and new exhibitors are reported from Germany, Poland, Holland, Denmark and China.
The third key field are materials and composites for engineering. Here too, the positive development of the economy is reflected and all major players have already placed orders for their large exhibition space. These include companies like ArcelorMittal, Vítkovice Holding, Italinox, Hungarian ISD Dunaferr, bearings manufacturers Bonus and ZKL and more. For the first time for example, the Slovak steel company MENZI MUCK SLOVAKIA will attend MSV.
As in previous years, the MSV expects strong representation of plastics processing companies. In the field of plastics, rubber and composites, all of the traditional exhibitors have applied, namely Arburg, Engel, Luger, Kuboušek, Hasco, Mapro or BOCO. After a long time, major player ALBIS PLASTIC returns to MSV and the number of newcomers also increased – a full 13 percent of applicants will be exhibiting for the first time. Also the field of chemistry for engineering expects a large turnout, headed by the traditional exhibitors such as Total, Blaser, Sika, Fuchs Oil and Weicon - Šafařík. Increased interest was also reflected in the field of welding, where significant companies who applied include ABB, FRONIUS, CLOOS, YASKAWA and VALK WELDING. Comau Czech link on to their last year's premiere participation in the WELDING fair.
Concurrently with MSV 2015, there will also be two specialized trade fairs taking place. The 7th International Transport and Logistics Fair returns to the Brno Exhibition Centre after four years and will introduce innovations in fields that are closely related to virtually every industrial manufacturing sector. Premier suppliers of transport and logistics products and services suppliers have applied, among them the manufacturers of transportation equipment Interroll and TMT, Kardex and KASYS in storage, TECHNOLOGY or UTZ Group represent industrial packaging. For the very first time, the MSV complex will also include the International Fair for Environmental Protection Technology, ENVITECH.
