MSV 2011 follows up on last year’s success
The flagship of the Brno Exhibition Centre, 53rd International Engineering Fair, will be held this year from 3 to 7 October as a leading industrial trade fair in Central Europe and a unique platform for introducing new products and technological solutions. Increased attention is focused on the issues of energy and material savings and technologies for transportation and logistics, which will be presented in a separate biennial exhibition, Transport and Logistics. Poland will be the partner country of MSV 2011.
Last year’s review
The International Engineering Fair 2010 reflected the overall recovery in the market. It was attended by 1 601 exhibitors, of which 35 percent were foreign, and 28 countries were represented. 71 347 visitors from 59 countries came to see the exhibitors’ offering. The fair thus confirmed its leading position among industrial fairs in Central Europe, i.e. the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland, Austria and Hungary.
The positive turn in economic development was clearly reflected in the exhibitors survey. The annual comparison shows the growth of their satisfaction with the fair, more interest in participating in next year's edition and also growth in optimism regarding the future of their business. Participation in the fair was the second most used marketing tool after the company web site.
The results of visitors survey are also very interesting. 82% of respondents were satisfied with their visit to the fair, 89% with its professional level and even 92.4% with the quality of displayed products and services. 86% of visitors want to attend next year. MSV 2010 was attended by 80% of regular guests, 11% of visitors came for the first time. The survey also showed that 69% of visitors decide or participate in deciding about investments and purchases of their companies. Approximately half of the respondents work in the field of engineering. In terms of work positions, MSV was mostly attended by representatives of top management (36.3%), specialists (29%) and traders or buyers (12.7%). Foreign visitors registered at the box office amounted to 6798, i.e. 9.5% of the total, they came mainly from Slovakia, Germany, Poland, Russia, Hungary, Austria, Italy and Ukraine.
