April and May at the Exhibition Centre in Brno

Mid-April Brno will see the group of building fairs (Building Fairs Brno, URBIS INVEST, URBIS TECHNOLOGY, MOBITEX) which will offer an integrated show of products and services for the building industry and interiors newly extended to include investment opportunities, innovation potential and municipal technologies. The main topic is Green Building – energy-saving construction, alternative sources of energy and heating technologies. Interior utilities will be presented by leading Czech producers and importers. The 17th Congress of Mayors and Lord Mayors of Towns and Communities of the Czech Republic will be held within the accompanying programmes of the URBIS INVEST and URBIS TECHNOLOGY fairs.

The last Sunday in April will be devoted to MOTORTECHNA – an exhibition of vintage cars including an exchange of vehicles, spare parts and documentation.

The following day at the exhibition centre will be the opening day of the Annual Meeting of the Czech Society of Cardiology which ranks among the largest congresses in Central Europe.

On day 3 the exhibition centre in Brno will introduce printing technologies, services and materials. The PRINTexpo fair is a follow-up to the traditional EmbaxPrint fair which was held for the first time in 1969. The fair will also deal with technologies and materials for advertisements, printing services and sales promotion.

On 10 May at the exhibition centre the International Exhibition of Defence and Security Technologies IDET (10 – 13 May) will be opened and will be held in tandem with the International Fair of Fire Fighting and Security Technology PYROS/ISET(12 – 14 May); together they will offer the visitors a comprehensive survey of the entire branch of military and civil security.

After a gap of two years the International Stainless Steel Congress and Fair - STAINLESS will again be staged at the exhibition centre in Brno (17 – 18 May). On show will particularly be raw materials and materials for the production of stainless steel, metallurgical raw products and stainless steel products, and products of foundries, forges and mills made of stainless steel, including computer, testing and measuring technologies for stainless steel, research in the branch, services and institutions. An integral part of the fair will be the traditional extensive programme of conferences.

The last fair to be held at the exhibition centre in May will be the International Water Management and Ecological Fair WATENVI, the largest fair in this branch in Central and Eastern Europe. Part of the fair is devoted to problems of flood control. The fair has a very extensive professional accompanying programme.
