A complex of six industrial fairs will fill the Exhibition Centre
The structure of the International Engineering Fair will be similar to that in 2012. The dominant sector of machine tools and forming machines will be even more dominant than in the odd years, because it is the focus of the specialized biennial IMT fair (International Machine Tools Exhibition). Also the foundry industry, welding, surface treatment and plastic processing will be strongly represented this year, since some companies do not participate in MSV, but only in the specialized fairs for this industry, which are held in Brno once every two years. These are the International Foundry Fair FOND-EX, International Welding Engineering Fair WELDING, International Surface Technology Fair PROFINTECH and International Plastics, Rubber and Composites Fair PLASTEX. Most of the indoor exhibition space is already occupied and organizers expect that the exhibitors’ offer will fill practically the whole of the exhibition centre including some of the outdoor areas this year.
Even the congress halls and auditoriums will not stand idle, since the fair will again include a rich accompanying programme focused both on professional topics and on trade promotion. The international salon of business opportunities Contact – Contract will take place again, organized by the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Brno; the Business Day of the Russian Federation, Belarus Business Day and other traditional meetings will complement the portfolio. In addition to the Assembly of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic there will also be an Economic Forum, "10 years in the EU".
Further well-proven events will be awaiting the visitors directly in the halls. The Technology and Innovation Transfer Project is a presentation of research centres and technical colleges that can establish contacts and cooperation with commercial partners directly at the fair. On Thursday, 2 October, a one-day “MSV Job Fair” of technical fields will be held in Hall A2. A successful premiere last year meant that the Robotic Park in Hall Z as well as a 3D printing conference and exhibition are successes hoping to be repeated.
